This picture was taken last October, 2009 when we had our district meet held at MCES. With me was my youngest daughter ADE. As a teacher I deal with the children everyday, molding their innocent minds to become a good citizen in our society. Aside from developing their minds, we teachers also engage in sports. As a matter of fact I teach them physical education to know some basic information about sports. During our district meet I was the volleyball coach in our zone. I did my best giving all my support and my effort and perseverance had not put me into vain because on that very day we won as the champion in volleyball women. Thanks to all who inspired me a lot and to my players who persevered to play even on a rain or shine situation. To all of you congratulations!!!

As we age there are many changes in our body. One of the common changes is our skin. Most of us experience dryness and wrinkles. Aside from our face our hands needs moisturizers especially during cold season. If we grow old, the collagen and fat breaks down that makes our hands less pump and lead us into bulging veins. That’s why it is advisable to put moisturizer with vitamin C for veins that helps build collagen and makes smooth and soft skin. You need it to minimize the wrinkles in your hand as well as your face. If our skin produces less oil the tendency is we have lots of wrinkles and we need moisturizer, right? So, it is better to apply moisturizer with Vitamin E to make your skin fresh and looks younger than age. Rub it on your hand up to shoulders and also to your legs. Your face needs also face moisturizer to become more beautiful and attractive in the eyes of the people and of course your loved one.

As parents we need to encourage our children to go out and have physical activities outside. It can help them to become more active and physically fit. There are some fun ideas for you to follow. The first thing to do is to dust off any footballs in our storage room and start a pick up game. Then you can invite your kid’s friends or the neighborhood children to play in your backyard. Organize family bike ride or take a dog for a walk. Head the local pool together and blow bubbles and try to pop them before they land. That’s great and a lot of fun. Encourage them to skip rope or climb a tree at your back yard. Be sure the tree is short not the tall one. Spend time on the jungle gym. Play twister, tag, or have a hula hoop contest. That’s all for now and I hope you enjoy your summer with your kids.

Be Careful Of Your Skin

When I was young I remember I only use a little moisturizer because we can not afford to buy more lotion or cream products. I need to use only small amount of moisturizer to in order save.

At the age of 20 I moisturized my hands on regular basis especially before going to school. I always apply cream after washing my hands and after taking a bath or shower.

At the age of 30 I noticed few wrinkles in my hands. I rub moisturizer to fill in any fine wrinkles and make it smooth and soft even if I have many heavy works at home.

Now that I’m near 40, there are many brown spots that develop on my hands, face, forearms and shoulders. During summer time like this season we need to wear hat, long sleeve shirts, pants and long shirts, use umbrella or put sunscreen to protect our skin from damage. If you go to beach, laying and swimming make sure to put sun block to all your skin.

For people who are age 50, the skin becomes thin and you need more moisturizer. The wrinkles and veins are very obvious and more noticeable than ever. Make sure to put moisturizers every now and then to avoid dryness and irritation. Don’t forget to wear gloves if you are working with cleaning products like you clean the washroom or kitchen. If you love gardening during summer, you need also to put on gardening gloves to avoid damage of your hands. It can protect you from cuts and also from further sun damage.

Physically Fit

My hubby always reminds me to take my vitamins even if I did. He always told me that I need calcium in the body. He bought lots of vitamins for me to make me active and strong. Aside from vitamins I also take calcium to make my bones and teeth strong and healthy.  Calcium is also essential for a variety of body processes, from hormone secretion to the communication of messages through the nervous system of our body. It enables our muscles to contact and expand and ensure our heart and blood vessels to function normally. Aside from taking vitamins, I also walk everyday. I need to exercise my body and become physically fit. I’m not young anymore so I need daily exercise and take care of myself.

Its juicy flesh is very pleasing to their tongues and throats. When they enjoy eating it, I remember the passage I’ve read before where young ATHENA and young VENUS festively ate the same fruit in their kingdom Olympus.
