Spring Rolls
It’s my friend Helen who cooked this lumpia or spring rolls last week during her daughter’s party. It is one of the most popular traditional Filipino dishes for fiesta, birthday and any special occasion. It’s quick and easy to prepare. You can made it in advance, frozen and fried just before being served. Most Filipinos keep lumpia in the freezer not only for parties but just in case you have a visitors. Most people love to eat fried lumpia with their fingers or wrap them in a napkin and dip in a sauce like catchup.

Sinigang
Sinigang is one of the most popular dishes of all Filipino. There are many kinds of sinigang such as beef, pork, chicken, fish and the shrimp sinigang. Last week, it’s my friend Lilia who cooked and prepared this shrimp sinigang for me. She asked me if I’m allergy with shrimp and I said no. When I arrived in her place I smell her delicious sinigang. She adds a little kangkong and one pack of Knorr tamarind soup mix. Wow! I love it and we eat together with rice, other recipe and dessert.
Here’s the ingredients and Procedures:
1 lb. (16-20) shrimp
1 lg. onion, diced
3 lg. tomatoes, chopped
1 pkg. Knorr tamarind soup mix
1 kl fresh kangkong
6 cups water
1 tbsp. oil
Saute onion in oil, add tomatoes and cook. Add the tamarind soup mix and water then boil. Reduce heat and add shrimp, cook until shrimp turns to orange, about 2-3 minutes. Add kangkong half cook and remove from heat. Let stand for 5 minutes and serve with rice.
Beauty Tips For You
Hello friend! I hope you enjoy the day. I would like to share these important tips on how to apply your make up. First, you have to take a bath or wash your face thoroughly, removing any dirt and oil that may be trapped in your skin. Secondly, you have to use a toner to help the application of make up and to balance out skin. This works well if suffering from combination skin. Make sure any make up application brushes or pads are clean from any oil or dirt so as to not transfer them to your face. Once make up has been applied, do not adjust or smear by touching your face with your hands. This will only mess the make up and will transfer oils from your fingers to your face. Then mist face carefully after make up application to ensure that make up sets and lasts.

Grapes For My Kids
Every New Year we Filipinos like to prepare something that would give us prosperity and good luck. We tend to prepare 13 different kinds of circled-shape fruits and one them is grapes. It is round and sweet. Although its quite expensive but the taste of it is priceless that is why my kids love to eat this clustered sweet beads. Its juicy flesh is very pleasing to their tongues and throats. When they enjoy eating it, I remember the passage I’ve read before where young ATHENA and young VENUS festively ate the same fruit in their kingdom Olympus.

My Youngest Daughter Ade
This picture was taken last October, 2009 when we had our district meet held at MCES. With me was my youngest daughter ADE. As a teacher I deal with the children everyday, molding their innocent minds to become a good citizen in our society. Aside from developing their minds, we teachers also engage in sports. As a matter of fact I teach them physical education to know some basic information about sports. During our district meet I was the volleyball coach in our zone. I did my best giving all my support and my effort and perseverance had not put me into vain because on that very day we won as the champion in volleyball women. Thanks to all who inspired me a lot and to my players who persevered to play even on a rain or shine situation. To all of you congratulations!!!
